Funeral services for Jerrie Dean Moore-Johnson were held on November 17, 2005 at the Memorial Funeral Chapel, Cullen, LA with Minister Harold Marshall of the Abundant Harvest Church of Houston, TX officiating. Burial followed at the Harrison Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Springhill, LA under the direction of Serenity Mortuary and Memorial Funeral Home, Cullen, LA.

Jerrie Dean was born on November 20, 1952 to the union of Clarence Moore and Annie Mae Mack. Jerrie grew up in Springhill, LA and attended Brown High School and Springhill High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Wesley Chapel C.M.E. Church. Jerrie moved to Houston, TX in 1975, where she remained until her demise after a long illness. She attended Abundant Harvest with her family under the leadership of Pastor Harold Marshall and later united with the New Deliverance Church under the leadership of Bishop Richard Taylor, where she served faithfully until her health failed.

Jerrie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carolyn Spears.

Survivors: Husband, Wayne Johnson; sons: James Hamilton and Andre Terrell; daughter, Tammy Moore; sisters: Shirley Moore (Ricky) and Nita Kay Moore; brothers: Clarence Moore, Jr.; Edward Moore and wife; stepmother: Maxceen Moore; aunt: Ruth Cade: uncles, McDole Moore, Albert Moore and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.

Pallbearers: Jamel Solomon, Damon Slater, Daunt’ Solomon, Ja Quay Solomon, Jodie Solomon and Jonas Sims. Honorary pallbearers: Gerald Solomon, Jock Williams, Larry Johnson, Danton Solomon, Stephen Solomon and Anthony Sims.
