Gwendolyn "Gwen" (Irby) Hale, 69 of Springhill, Louisiana died Friday, May 9, 2008 in the home. She was born June 1938 in Magnolia, Arkansas to the late Abbe and Ida (Nelson) Irby. Gwen was an active member of the Springhill United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and in the past she has worked with numerous youth groups.

Funeral services for Harold Dean Nations were held on November 11, 2007 at Bailey Mortuary Chapel in Springhill with Rev. Tim Everett officiating. Burial followed in the Western Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bobye Herrington will be held on March 25, 2008 at the Springhill United Methodist Church with Rev. Ronald Morgan officiating. Eulogies will be offered by Judy Tillis and Foster Campbell. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.

Sadie Mason Miller passed away on March 13, 2007 in Springhill, LA. Her parents were Grover Cleveland and Ona Mae Blackwell Mason. Interment in Spring Branch Cemetery. She was a lifelong resident of the Springhill area, member of Springhill United Methodist Church and retired in 1994 from Springhill Bank and Trust with over 30 years of service.

William David Miears, Lt. Col. USMC (Ret.) passed away on July 26, 2006 in Springhill, LA. His parents were John and Eunice Raines Miears. His grandparents were George Washington and Elizabeth P. Yearx Miears.
